Thunder Reels is quite the stormy slot. Literally. Three reels are set against a dark blue background with lightning strikes on either side of the reels. To keep with the theme, all the symbols are also set against an ombre blue background. The reels are populated with quite traditional symbols, such as sevens, cherries, lemons, oranges, stars, bars, blackberries and an X.
On the far left side at the bottom of the screen you will find your credits displayed. In the middle you can adjust your bet by using the + or – signs.
Contrary to most modern slots, Thunder Reels does not really have any special features. The wild that we have come to expect from modern slots is nowhere to be found, neither is the scatter or any other bonus features. However, there is something that resembles a special feature: the gamble option.
The gamble option could potentially double or even quadruple your winnings. The gamble feature is also the usual, where you need to guess the colour or suit of a face-down card. In order to double your winnings, you need to guess the colour of the card. Is it black or red? To quadruple your winnings you need to guess the suit of the face-down card. Will it be spades, clubs, diamonds or hearts? You can also guess correctly up to ten times, doubling or quadrupling your total winnings each time, before the feature stops. If you, however, guess wrong you lose everything and have to start from the bottom.
The three-reel video slot has only five paylines and winning combinations can occur diagonally or horizontally. The highest paying symbol in this slot is the sevens, which pays out 15,000 for three sevens. This is followed by the stars that pay out 4,000 for three, the bar with 1,200, the blackberries, oranges and cherries and lemons with 800 each, and the least valuable that pays out only 100.
Landing nine identical fruit symbols (either the cherries, lemons, oranges or blackberries) across the screen will double your winnings.
Bets range from 0.10 to 100.00. Before you start spinning the reels, make sure that the bet suits you. You can adjust the bet at any time by using the arrows on either side of the bet button.
Thunder Reels is one of the most basic and easy to understand slots of this day and age.
